6 ways how you can help Japanese brothers and sisters in actual


As we all know that earthquake and Tsunami was passed in few minutes but taken away our brothers and sisters of Japan. Other countries also affected due to the same reason directly or indirectly.

Even though Japan government started working instantly and we all are praying from them all across the world. I feel our people in Japan need help and all across world people started helping them with prayers. It’s time to stay with them for each and every problems they are facing as now generation is always thinking about ONE WORLD.

Let me share 6 ways you as common man can support Japan:  [Thanks Aik Heng Yap for sharing information and he is my friend and in Tokyo right now.]

1)      The Red Cross

Red Cross in Japan already started supporting and already helped in 11 national disaster response teams to the crisis. You can help them by donating money online or via text message. Simply test REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 form your phone. [You will receive prompted to confirm again with YES]

2)      Shelter Box

Its UK based organization and has 18 international affiliates started working on raising fun for this tragedy of Japan. Shelterbox provides assistance to Japn by delivering
-          Large utility boxes that contain a
o   shelter
o   Other emergency relief tools.
To donate, simply visit the site and click DONATE

3)      International Medical Corps

Its non-profit organization and to donate for emergency response effort fund, go to their website and select the amount you want to donate.
[Make sure to note if you want your donation to be ‘recurring gift’ for future relief efforts.]

4)      Globalgiving.org

This organization launched Japan earthquake and Tsunami relief fund in association with lot many other organizations like International medical corps, DC which will give aid to other emergency services working on actual level at ground. They accept donations online and their goal to raise fund of 850,000 $.  [they received 30% till 13/3/2011]


5)      Convey of Hope

It’s also non-profit organization and focused on disaster relief efforts and you donate them online as well as you can sent message to TSUNAMI to 50555. [You will receive prompted to confirm again with YES]

6)      Salvation Army

Salvation Army’s Japan branch is working in Tokyo to provide shelter to standard commuters. Team is already in Sendai and they have office in Hawaii to help. You can also support them by sending text to JAPAN or QUAKE to 80888 to make a donation of $10. Facebook page
